If I look hard enough, I can find enough faults in myself to fill a book. Especially if I start analysing the past.

So I'm going to start believing the word of God! If God loves me, who in their right mind, including myself, can be against me? If Jesus is My Lord - as well as being my Saviour, my friend (as in best mate that I chat things through with, clown around with, make an idiot of myself in front of without fearing reprisals), my comforter (through His Holy Spirit), - and if I keep seeking His presence to declare my willingness for Him to change me in any way He wants to... phew sorry that was such a long sentence, but it all keeps tumbling out when I think How Great, how Wonderful He is. But anyway, if Jesus is my Lord, it's up to Him. If there are things right about me, it's up to Him to develop them for His good purposes. If there are things wrong with me, it's up to Him to put them right in the way He wants to. And I remind myself, that HE KNOWS BEST! So I'm going to stop beating myself up about even my most embarrassing character flaws. "Well maybe I'm not praying enough/too much/ neither of the above. Maybe I don't spend enough time listening in my spirit, praying in tongues, or reading the Bible every day....." I've decided:

God knows how to communicate to me in a way that will get my attention, and I will receive.

God knows what I need and want before I do! - He just prefers it when I'm awake enough to ask!

God's plan for me is better than anything I could imagine - even if it doesn't seem like it at the time!

God wants me successful, fulfilled, complete, joyful, peaceful, overflowing. Nothing else glorifies Him, and anything less hinders Him from blessing others through me, and He wants me to enjoy the journey on the way.

God tricked satan into messing with Job! Job let himself get a bit too religious to be any use to God (and he probably credited himself for his fortune and wealth rather than God). satan thought he was beating up Job to get the better of God - but look how both Job and God are glorified in the end. within limits proscribed by God, satan achieved both Job's and God's best end! It was a short-term disaster for eternal gain (phew! This was going to be a 2 minute blog!!!) and satan ended up NOWHERE (what's that old Beatles song - "He's a real nowhere man?")

So I challenge you to join me! WHATEVER IT IS, STOP BEATING YOURSELF UP ABOUT IT!

Those of you that have seen my profile will know that I'm quitting smoking 3-4 small cigars a day. well having gone 2 weeks without, I have succumbed to having one or two this last couple of weeks. Far less than I was; but I'm not sure why I still desire them! What I'm having to believe is that I PREFER life without tobacco. On days when things seem bad and are not working out, that can be difficult, especially when, as at present, I don't have a job or a car. I'm focusing on the fact that I don't want ANYTHING to disturb my relationship with Yahshua - and He's so patient and understanding. And I speak favour in Jesus' Name into my situation and those around me. God has planned for us a victorious life. He's bringing me to perfection, and it's up to Him how He does it; He knows best. Anyone else out there had a tobacco habit? Did you know there's even a website for Christian cigar smokers?! Let's share stories.

I was surfing some Creation Science websites yesterday, and came across a link to an article about some research concerning St. Bernard dogs! As the research had been done in the UK - Manchester University, no less - I thought I'd see what it was all about.

A research team has spent time and money measuring 47 St. Bernard's skulls, dating back over 120 years! They wanted to find out how they had changed over the years. Well if someone wanted them to do it, who am I to complain?! But they couldn't just leave it there...

They had to add statements that it was further 'proof' of evolution in action, and evidence that creation was not true. Quote from Dr Chris Klingenberg, Head of the team:

"Creationism is the belief that all living organisms were created according to Genesis in six days by 'intelligent design' and rejects the scientific theories of natural selection and evolution.

"But this research once again demonstrates how selection — whether natural or, in this case, artificially influenced by man — is the fundamental driving force behind the evolution of life on the planet."

I do get passionate about my God, the Truth of His Word, Creation, and Creation Science in particular. I WAS INCENSED!! What was the source of my wrath? Bare in mind I'm not a scientist, but even I can pick holes in what he said:

1) His statement about Creationism is not true; Creation Science CONFIRMS variation within kind. The dog KIND includes dingos, wolves - and St Bernards! These varieties have come about since disembarking from the ark, through the gene pool being split up as different groups spread in all directions. Gene expression is a mechanism God has built in for species WITHIN kind to survive. In the case of dogs, man has learned to exploit this mechanism to breed all sorts of useful breeds; to guard, to shepherd, to keep company, to carry, and so on.

2) Dog breeders select breeding animals according to breed standards. These animals are DESIGNED! They have not evolved at all - evolution has nothing to do with it!

3) 47 skulls over 120 years is a PATHETICALLY small sample from which to draw any conclusions about anything.

4) A bit of research on the web showed me that over the decades, St Bernards have been bred which were deviating from the breed standard. In order to stabilise the genes, Newfoundlands were mated with St. Bernards, to get them back to standard! Could, I wonder, it just be possible that this might have something to do with the variation???!?

5) The philosophy of Neo-Darwinist evolution demands a mechanism for an increase in the information stored in the DNA. It seems quite obvious to me that a human being has a more complex body pattern than an amoeba, so needs more information to construct. Gene selection, whether by natural or man-made causes, brings about a REDUCTION in gene information! If we assume that (say) the South African wild dog is closer to the original KIND that stepped of the ark, it would be possible over generations to breed St Bernards from them. But you CAN'T get a wild dog from a St. Bernard! The genetic information has been reduced, so that St Bernards ONLY breed St Bernards.

6) Old St Bernards, current St bernards, dingos or wolves ; it's ALL still dogs. Dogs will always give birth to dogs! They might be different shapes sizes and temperaments, but they're still dogs!

I must confess i fired off a very hot email to the person who published the article, and asked him to forward it to Dr Chris Klingenberg. I've not had a response yet! But it was only yesterday...

Do you realise we're living in a deliberate, 130 year old conspiracy? When Darwin published 'On the origin of Species', Huxley, Lyal et al deliberately used it as a vehicle to promote their self-proclaimed atheist agenda. Both aggressively pro humanist/materialist, and vociferously anti Christian, they waged a planned propaganda campaign. We live in the legacy of that today.

Their job was made easier by a weak, religious and tradition-bound 'church', too feeble to stand up to the onslaught. While it may seem that the wider church today is escaping some of the shackles of tradition, it still seems to be the prince of this world who calls the tune. IN WAR IT IS SOMETIMES EXPEDIENT TO LET YOUR ENEMY SEEM TO HAVE THE UPPER HAND FOR A WHILE, SO THAT THEY ARE WEAKENED BY COMPLACENCY. We must fight against complacency in our relationship with God, and our knowledge of the TRUTH of His word.

There are many international ministries throughout the world, composed of highly intelligent, articulate and educated men and women, that are scientists using their science to prove:

a) the weakness and fraudulence in the so-called science of ancient universe/big bang/ evolution philisophy

b) the statistical impossibility of evolution and life coming from inanimate matter, and

c) that proper analysis confirms the inspired Word of God, concentrating on the factual historicity of the first 11 chapters of Genesis, namely that God created the whole universe in 6 days, about 6000 years ago, that through sin corruption came into the world, and that about 1200 years later after a global flood, there was one family and several thousand species saved to start again.

YOU MUST REALISE THAT IF THE FIRST 11 CHAPTERS OF GENESIS ARE NOT TRUE, YOU MIGHT AS WELL THROW THE REST OF THE BIBLE AWAY! All of following scripture, the Law, the Prophets and the teaching of Jesus Christ Himself all hang on those first 11 chapters.

The fight against the prevailing near-global philosophy of materialistic atheism must stand on proclaiming that truth. Teach yourself! Teach your children! Tell them not to believe the lies they're taught at school, by ignorant teachers that don't know any better after decades of indoctrination! Write to your representatives in Government! Talk about it to your unsaved friends and colleagues, not just fellow Christians! Stop tolerating compromise!

Get the facts from such extensive websites as Answers in Genesis, Creation Research, Biblical Creation Society and many others (use your favourite search engine using "creation" "science" "bible" "genesis" and so on). Be ready with answers - you will amaze people by being a Christian with answers!! After all, the truth will set us free, and he who is free in Christ is free indeed!
